Michael Nelson is a passionate advocate, educator, and financial professional with 25 years of industry experience helping individuals and families make informed decisions about their future. Licensed in FL, his work focuses on life insurance, annuities, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement plans, Social Security timing, and retirement income planning.

As a Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA) and IRMAA Certified Planner, Michael is committed to helping clients better understand the choices that can affect their retirement income, healthcare costs, and long-term financial well-being. Using tools such as the RSSA Roadmap, he helps clients identify the optimal time to file for Social Security benefits while navigating the many moving parts of retirement and Medicare planning.

Michael’s passion for this work is deeply personal. As someone living personal health problems, and as someone who has personally dealt with Social Security, he understands firsthand how overwhelming, frustrating, and emotionally draining it can be to work through government systems and benefit programs. Those experiences shaped his mission and gave him a strong desire to stand up for people who feel unheard, overlooked, or uncertain about where to turn.

That calling led Michael to found First American Entitlement Services — a company built on the belief that people deserve an advocate in their corner. He fights the good fight for clients who feel they cannot fight for themselves, helping them understand their options and move forward with confidence, clarity, and support.

Michael’s calling has also been shaped by two of the most important influences in his life: his grandmother and his wife, Elizabeth. Their love, strength, and encouragement have been powerful inspirations in both his personal life and professional mission. Because of them, Michael sees his work as more than a career — he sees it as a purpose-driven commitment to serve, protect, and advocate for others.

In addition to serving clients directly, Michael also serves as a consultant for the National Association of Registered Social Security Analysts (NARSSA), where he helps recruit and mentor future RSSAs. Through this role, he shares best practices, supports professional growth, and helps advance the mission of empowering professionals to better serve their communities.
